The Unimatrix Pliers are instruments developed to handle accurately and safely the ring of the Unimatrix system and Elastic Wedges.
Unimatrix is a preformed sectional matrix system, composed of metallic matrices and rings for its fixation.
The TDV Elastic Wedges are indicated for general use in restoration procedures using matrices, with the mechanical function of adapting the matrix and/or separating adjacent teeth.
Indications
The TDV Unimatrix Pliers are used in dentistry, pediatric dentistry and integrated clinical dentistry. It has the purpose of installing Elastic Wedges and the Unimatrix ring.
Use
TDV Unimatrix Rings: Place the Unimatrix ring in the jaws of the Unimatrix Pliers.
Compress the pliers until the desired ring opening is obtained. Place the ring in the desired position and slowly open the Unimatrix Pliers.
Remove the pliers from the mouth. Elastic Wedges: Select the wedge suitable for the procedure and fit it in the pliers jaws.
Compress the pliers until the required thickness of the wedge is obtained. Place the wedge in the desired position and slowly open the Unimatrix Pliers.
Remove the pliers from the mouth. When finished, pull the wedge by one of its edges and cut it in the middle, removing resulting parts from the patient’s mouth.
